MISSION STATEMENT:

By establishing a forum where each party is heard,
we teach listening.

By creating an environment where each party can speak,
we teach communication.

By developing processes that seek resolution,
we teach the importance of dialogue.

By building these processes into a method of mediating disputes
we teach citizenship.

NON-DISCRIMINATION STATEMENT:

In accordance with Federal civil rights law, Six Rivers Dispute Resolution Center, its employees, and those participating in or administering programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.
Any employee, board member, volunteer, contractor or client who believes that they or any other affiliate of Six Rivers Dispute Resolution Center has been discriminated against is strongly encouraged to report this concern promptly to the Program Manager, Executive Director or member of the Board of Directors.

Thanks to United Way of the Columbia Gorge, special funding is infusing local schools with Restorative Practices programming, helping develop conflict resolution skills, frustration tolerance, and connected school community.
